Order Status
An order has several statuses associated with it. As the order progresses through the order cycle, the status of the order will change. The statuses allow you to keep track of the status of your orders.
Every order may have the following status:

| Processing | Order is placed in your e-commerce platform. |
| Cancelled | Order was unfulfilled and marked as cancelled by the merchant. |
| Shipped | Order is fulfilled and shipped out to the customer. The item(s)/order is processed through the Merchant's E-Commerce platform. |

Assumed Delivered |
In rare instances where Blackcart cannot read the shipping carrier's tracking information (in most cases the tracker is broken), Blackcart moves orders into as Assumed Delivered state based on two different sets of conditions. More information about these conditions can be found here. |
| Trial In Progress | ALL items have been delivered to the customer and their try period has started. |
| Return Label Pending | Customer has made the decision to send back selected items but has not yet generated their return label. |
| Drop Off Pending | The return label for the items has been generated by the customer but the return package has not yet been dropped off and scanned at the return facility. |
| Pending Complete | The customer initiated the return using the Blackcart-generated return label, and the package was scanned at the return facility. The return package is on its way back to the merchant’s return facility. The order will remain in this status until the merchant marks the returned items as refunded/returned on Shopify or by processing the returns via the merchant portal using the 'Process Returns' function. |
| Completed | This is the final state of an order. When an order is marked completed, the customer has made a decision on all TBYB items and all payment transactions have been completed. |
| Collections | When there is a payment failure, such as when a customer's credit card is declined or there are insufficient funds, an order is placed in collection status. This occurs after the trial period has ended. |
Product Status
Similar to Order Status, there are different statuses associated with each item in a particular order.
Every order may have the following product status:
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Pending | The order has yet to be fulfilled by the merchant. |
| Shipped | The order was fulfilled and shipped to the customer by the merchant. |
| Delivered | The product has arrived at the customer's address, and the trial period begins when (ALL) items are confirmed as delivered. |
| Purchased | Customer has decided to keep item(s). |
| Purchased Completed | The customer was charged for the kept item(s). |
| [Marked] Returned | Customer has decided to send back item(s). |
| Return Submitted | When the customers drops off the package at the designated return facility; the products marked as returned will be move to return submitted status. |
| Return Completed | The merchant received the returned package and processed the returned item(s) in the warehouse. |
