Blackcart uses EasyPost to handle shipment tracking and return label generation for Try Before You Buy orders.
As part of your onboarding requirements for Blackcart, you will need to ensure that your carrier account has been successfully added to EasyPost. Steps for adding your carrier account to EasyPost will differ depending on which carrier you use.
FedEx SmartPost Requirements
In order to have FedEx SmartPost as a carrier in EasyPost, you will need to have an existing account with FedEx. Once your account with FedEx has been established it will then need to be verified with your FedEx Account Manager that your account is set up as a small shipper and enabled for SmartPost.
Registering Your FedEx SmartPost Account With EasyPost
You will need the following information from FedEx:
- FedEx SmartPost Account Number
- FedEx SmartPost Hub ID
- FedEx SmartPost Account Billing Address
You can then proceed to use the above information to create a FedEx SmartPost account within your EasyPost account. Instructions on how to add your carrier can be found here.
Enabling SmartPost Returns
You will need to contact your FedEx Account Manager in order to enable SmartPost Returns. In addition, you will need to reach out to support@easypost.com to enable a feature flag for SmartPost Returns for your EasyPost account.

Your Hub ID is a number that links you to the nearest FedEx SmartPost processing Hub. If you are unsure which Hub ID you should use, please refer to the list below.
